Impact on Rwandan farms

Every season SOZO measures the difference certified seed, correct agronomy and reliable inputs make on smallholder farms. Our impact is tracked on demonstration plots in all five provinces and verified with cooperative harvest records.

• 12,000+ farmers reached with certified seed and training.
• 30 districts served through agro-dealer and cooperative networks.
• +38% average yield on maize plots using SOZO hybrids versus local checks.
• 45% less irrigation water used on drip-irrigated vegetable plots in Musanze.
• 3,400 women and youth farmers enrolled in the 2025/26 extension programme.

How we measure it

Yield, germination, input cost and farm-gate price data are collected at harvest from paired plots, then published in our annual impact report available on the Downloads page.
